Head just past the Don Valley bridge and you’re in Riverdale. The neighbourhood is a prime spot for families, which means that virtually every shop is kid-friendly. Here are a few of our fave hang-out spots to spend an afternoon exploring.
Rooster Coffee House
Grab a really good latte and yummy cookies and muffins before you head to the park or the playground.
479 Broadview Avenue, Toronto
Withrow Park
This sprawling park has a playground, tennis courts, ice rink, fire pit, weekly farmer’s market and more. A great kid-friendly Riverdale stop.
725 Logan Avenue, Toronto
Pizzeria Libretto
Probably the city’s best pizza, and boasts a kids menu too!
550 Danforth Avenue, Toronto
Prohibition Gastropub
Have a local beer, watch a bit of a soccer game on the TVs, and the kids can choose something from the kids menu. It’s a little nicer than your average wipe-clean kid-friendly establishment.
696 Queen Street East, Toronto
